Orleans County 4-H Fair

The Trolley Building is the fair-time home to Family and Consumer Science projects. Exhibits demonstrate youth work done in areas like sewing, food science, child care, crafts, scrapbooks, wood-working, photography, citizenship, cooking, food cultivation and preservation, engineering, conservation and many others. You will be truly inspired by the creativity and hard work of today's youth.

On Monday and Tuesday come and enjoy the some of the homemade goodies at the 4-H Bake Sale. Items sell fast so don't miss it! A variety of craft projects are also available for sale.

Learn a new skill or craft by watching young people do a public demonstration. See original works of art and photos taken from a child's perspective.

Take the time to participate in a hands on activity which allows you to make and then take home a uniquely 4-H project.

Livestock Exhibits
Youth who enter livestock exhibits in the fair have been responsible for the care and grooming of the animals you will see at the fair. This means taking care of the animal every day as well as bathing and in some cases shaving the animal. To show an animal 4-Hers must also learn about showmanship which is the special method used during the show. Be sure to check out one of the daily animal shows at the fair and watch to see an expert 4-Her in action! 4-Hers in Orleans County exhibit a wide variety of animals. Some include rabbits, cavies, poultry, llamas, beef cattle, dairy cattle, dairy goats, meat goats, swine, sheep, horses, dogs and cats. The 4-H royalty contest is a contest for all 4-H youth who embody the spirit of 4-H. For a complete list of our past royalty winners click here.
